Question 1
All competency based eg tell me about a time when you had to break some bad news to someone, tell me about your greatest achievement etc etc.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Glasgow, Scotland) in Jan 2017
Interview
The first stage is to submit an application answering a few motivation questions. Then as soon as that is submitted I was invited to take online tests. Two days afterwards I was called and was invited to a strength based telephone interview, which lasted for around 50 minutes. I was called the following day and was invited to an Assessment Centre. The Assessment Centre was really nice and relaxed. I had two 45 minute, strength based interviews with a tour of the building in between. Then followed a group work assignment for roughly 50 minutes. The day also had a 15 minute networking break with other students on their Assessment Centre. Overall the process was quite enjoyable and the staff there were exceptionally friendly.

Question 1
Why Morgan Stanley? What do you know about Operations? What do you expect your day to day activities to be?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Glasgow, Scotland) in Dec 2015
Interview
The interview process was long. I started by applying online which was then followed by online tests. I then received a phone call from HR to have a brief discussion of my expectations, then a phone interview was organised for weeks later.
The phone interview lasted around 45 minutes and the man was very nice, however he did not seen too motivated and was clearly just reading off a piece of paper and noting down my answers as there was a long pause between questions.
Last of all - the assessment day; this lasted around 4 hours. We began with two separate interviews, where there were two interviewees in both. When interviewing here remember they use STRENGTH based interviewing. They will not ask you about a time like competency based, however they expect you to give examples and they will not prompt you in any way. This was then followed by a group task which was slightly challenging as none of us had any knowledge of the task, we then had to present to the team with only 5 minutes to do so (less than a minute each).
There was no need for the length of this interview process. It was also a very un-relaxed and very formal experience.
