Interview
I applied for the Writer position with Morning Brew. After I completed the application and a little profile about myself (I went through ZipRecruiter) I was contacted within minutes (literally) via email to get started on the writing exercise process. They gave me about 3 days to complete the project, which was generous turnaround. I was able to do all of this remote. I do not know what the interview process would have looked like beyond this step, but I assume in person in NYC.
The position is in an extremely competitive field. Unfortunately I did not get the job, but I didn't walk away mad about it. Without even asking, I was offered the possibility of feedback on my work. This has been super helpful for me. I have applied and interviewed with many companies before and no one has ever willingly offered feedback, nor took the time when I asked for it.
Good on you, Morning Brew! Thank you for the experience. I look forward to being a continued reader and follower.
