The Morning Brew interview process was pretty average. First, an HR representative reached out and asked very basic screener questions (salary expectations, where I’m located, etc.). I will say the salary for the role I interviewed for was far below what I had expected.
Throughout two rounds of interviews, I spoke with four people (hiring manager, team member, senior manager, VP). Everyone was very kind and asked general questions about my experience, why this job, what I knew about Morning Brew, my career goals… Basic interview questions. After meeting everyone, I got a general rejection email from the HR rep.
Overall, I didn’t feel like my time as a candidate was valued. Several interviewers were more than a few (like, 5+) minutes late to my interviews. An interview was also cut short abruptly because the interviewer had a surprised conflict. The people themselves were nice, but the process was somewhat chaotic and cold.
