Interview
I went through multiple stages of the interview process—initial screening, an Excel test, and a technical interview. I have to say, the interviewers I met during this process were hands down the most comforting and respectful I’ve ever come across. The communication up to that point was smooth, and the process felt structured and professional. I was then invited to the final round and asked for my availability, to which I responded promptly and flexibly.
After that, communication completely broke down. Despite following up multiple times over a span of several weeks (and being told I would be contacted "next week"), I never heard back. The job listing remained open for weeks, which only added to the confusion. There was no closure, no update, no rejection email, nothing.
I understand that hiring processes can shift and priorities change, but leaving a candidate in limbo after they've invested serious time and energy, especially after being invited to the final round, is disheartening and unprofessional.
If you're no longer moving forward with a candidate, please communicate that clearly. Silence after a final-round invite erodes trust in your brand and leaves candidates feeling disrespected.

All the interviewers were extremely receptive to my questions, we had great discussions about the role and current events that surround the credit ratings industry both in Canada and internationally.
