The process started when a recruiter from a staffing agency reached out to me via email on 6/16/22. The recruiter did not include their name or phone number in the email. (red flag #1) I emailed back explaining I would be able to provide my availability for a phone call on the 20th, to which the recruiter said that was ok. The 20th came and I emailed back my availability. I didn't hear anything at all until the recruiter called me without any notice on the 22nd to ask me if the 23rd would work. (red flag #2) Our agreed upon time on the 23rd came and went and the recruiter didn't call me. (red flag #3) So, I took the initiative and called the recruiter myself to complete the interview. Afterwards, I emailed back to thank the recruiter for their time and to request that they keep me posted on the next steps. On 6/29 I emailed back requesting an update and got ghosted. (red flag #4) And on 7/1 I emailed once more telling the recruiter I'd appreciate it if they would contact me ASAP one way or another. To this day, 7/6, I have no heard from the recruiter since the interview on 6/23. (red flag #5) If I was the recruiter, I'd seriously consider changing professions.
