The interview process was relatively detailed, but moved along quickly, starting with an initial phone interview with HR. Shortly after that meeting, I had a phone interview with the CEO. I then had a Go To Meeting interview with the safety department, followed by another Go To Meeting interview with the CEO, CFO, and Part 119s a few days later. All went well as I progressed to the final interview stage, which was an in person interview at their headquarters in Denver, NC. I had a 7 hour drive from my location to the interview site and therefore left the day before, paying for a hotel room along the way on my own dime. Upon reaching my hotel, I opened my email to find that the in person interview the next day had been cancelled and that they decided to move a different direction with the position. Therefore, I was out the costs of the trip, including the hotel room, and I thought it was pretty unprofessional to cancel an interview last minute like that with no explanation why. At least I enjoyed the Blue Ridge Parkway the day my interview was supposed to be held, so the trip was not a total loss.
