Create RESTful web services to (1) create, (2) read/list, and (3) delete records within a hierarchy/tree. Project requirements: ● You may use any Java framework/platform you prefer (Spring Boot, Jersey, Vert.x, etc). ● Create a Maven or Gradle project to handle build and dependencies ● Use either a lightweight DB (H2) or MySQL to persist data ● Write some basic unit tests to validate functionality (Just a handful of different types of tests is fine. Don’t need 100% coverage) Application requirements: ● Provide basic input validation and return meaningful errors ● Write to a log file as appropriate ● Create records in a hierarchy: ○ Create N records for any given level of the hierarchy, for a given parent node. ○ Root level nodes are created by providing no parent node in the request. ○ Allow duplicate records in the same request but only store one copy (remove duplicates) ○ Return an error if the node name already exists from a prior service call that created it. ● List records in a hierarchy: ○ List records within a level of the hierarchy, for a given parent node. ● Delete records in a hierarchy: ○ Delete a given node and any child nodes (and their child nodes and so on), if it has any.
