I applied online. I interviewed at Mozilla in Feb 2019
Interview
I applied online and got an email about a week later from a Talent Advisor. In the email the advisor asked me to fill out a form indicating when I was free for an interview, and said that they would "coordinate with [their] team and confirm a time with [me]".
The next day I noticed that I had a missed call, but I didn't call back to see who it was because I was busy. Besides, I wasn't expecting a call and didn't recognize the number. I received an email from the advisor about an hour later saying that he called and I didn't pick up, but if I'm still interested he could reschedule. At this point I was frustrated. I was never told that I would be called for an interview. My friend knows someones else so is applying for the same role and the EXACT same thing happened to her. The advisor said in his email that he'd send me a coding challenge, so I did the challenge and he rescheduled (this time I got him to let me know when the interview would happen, and that I would, in fact, happen over the phone).
The advisor calls me at the scheduled time and asks about my experience. After I tell him about my experience and that I am graduating in 3 months he says that my experience is exactly what they're looking for but they can't hire me because they need to hire someone sooner, and the call ends... the first line on my resume indicates my graduate date.
