      Associate Interview

      May 30, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mu Sigma in May 2012

      Interview

You get calls from India so sometimes it is late at night. The recruiter usually has an accent. I had two rounds of interviews. In the first one the recruiter seemed enthusiastic but later mentioned that I might need to go to Bangalore for training (I guess that's when I lost my enthusiasm). In the second round I spoke to an Associate from India. She asked me questions on probability and statistics (I wish that was written in the job description, I would have gone through it), and then later asked me case questions such as: - If you had to launch a new credit card in the market, what factors would you consider to design the strategy? - Which search engine would you prefer Google Search or Bing? and Why? The interview is not necessarily challenging, I personally wasn't too thrilled due to the possibility of getting trained in another country. After the second round two weeks down the line I did not hear from them so I've decided to send the recruiter an email. It's only after that I've received a response. I felt its unprofessional to suddenly disappear from the interview process. Of all the rounds conducted over the phone, the recruiter and the Associate were approximately 10 to 15 mins late which was also annoying.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mu Sigma (Richmond, VA) in Aug 2019

      Interview

Completely waste of time. They took 4 rounds of interviews and tokd me that I am not good at Python so they are rejecting me. The people who where taking my interview where very ignorant and didn’t even bother listening to my answers. They offered me very low salary. So declined. Also, I heard from their employees that work atmosphere is stressful and team leads are very rude to associates. I am happy that I am not going to be part of all this.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Mu Sigma (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2019

      Interview

They asked a few questions and explained the role. They were very intensive on how my past experiences can translate to the current role. I had examples ready to the interview went well for me. I would recommend being ready to explain what value you can add to the company.
