I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mu Sigma in Apr 2015
Interview
-Applied through campus career services.
-Given a SAT Math like test (25min) as well as a video to watch and synthesize.
-On campus interview: Went very smoothly, interviewer asked brain teasing questions and puzzles. Mostly short probing questions seeing how I reacted and how I would go about problem solving. Asked a bit about my work and school experience.
-Skype Interview with a more important person: VERY BAD. The interviewer seemed half asleep, couldn't keep his eyes open, and was not looking in the direction of the screen most of the time. Asked very few technical questions and focused mostly on vague things like (if you were Mu Sigma CEO what would you change). Didn't ask or gauge my personality or any personal experiences. Got the feeling he is looking for a robot to hire.
Note: I have yet to receive an offer or decline from Mu Sigma this is purely interview based with no off feelings because I was denied.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
How in your school career have you ever used modeling to solve a problem.
The interview was pretty straightforward. It consisted of 3 rounds. The first round was to fill out a questionnaire describing how you would tackle on certain business cases. The second round was a recorded video interview in which you a specific business case was given to you and had to think on the fly to answer it. The third was a video interview with the recruiter where again they ask you behavioral and business case questions.
I interviewed for Mu Sigma in January 2020. The entire process took about 3 weeks. You first complete an online test that has 3 sections. The first section is taking a video of yourself answering various questions, then there is a multiple choice section and a case study. After passing the online test, they set up a video interview. Then there was an HR interview a few days later. The HR interview was when they extended the offer.
