I spoke to my first Muon recruiter almost a year before I got an offer. I interviewed for a few positions that were a good fit, speaking to a number of hiring managers until they figured out the best position to focus on. This process was friendly, transparent, and allowed me to work with a lot of the recruitment team.
After about 2 months of interviews that included at least 4 technical screens and an onsite, I didn't receive the first offer. I was able to have a good debrief with the team about why, and was told to apply again in 3-6 months.
Well, 6 months later I reached out and participated in an accelerated process that covered 2 hiring managers and 4-5 1:1 phone calls before an onsite panel interview of 3-4 engineers and the hiring manager. I had a competing offer which allowed them to close the process inside of a week.
I saw a lot of good effort from the recruitment team and always got a response if I asked for one. They're extremely busy people because there's a lot of growth and interested talent. I never felt unseen throughout the process despite their workload.
