I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in Feb 2020
Interview
It began with a screening from HR, continued with an in-person interview with manger, then a project, then continued with a set of 3 interviews with other team members (which typically would have been in person, but were virtual due to COVID).
I really enjoyed meeting the team. The only downside was that after many interviews and a project I worked very hard on, I never heard back in person. The HR person said they'd get back to me in a week or two, but I never heard a word. After a few weeks, I thought to check the portal and saw that I did not get the job. I was a bit disappointed that they told me in such an impersonal way as I assumed I was one of the finalists having spent multiple hours interviewing with team members and presenting my project.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In the HR screening and first-round interview, they asked about my experience in my current position, people I admired, why I wanted to shift my career and to talk about challenges I had faced in past positions. During the interview with 3 other team members, it was primarily open-ended and required me to ask them questions about the role.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in Jul 2025
Interview
Communicative recruiter, overall very standard interview questions. The first round past the screening was in-person though, which was a little unusual as most of the time I expect to interview in-person for the final round.

Tell me about how you collaborate cross-functionally
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2025
Interview
Pretty straightforward and feels more just like a meeting to see if you fit in with the team. There were 4 rounds, but I only made it to 3. First round phone screening, second round with 1 director, and third round with 3 managers, the last round is supposed to be in person with VP.
Basic get to know you questions, no technical or case studies given. Interviews mostly online. Interviewer friendly as well. Replies took more than 2 weeks to get back to you.
