NBCUniversal Shop Supervisor interview questions

Met with the Coordinator, Contractor and Store Manager. The questions were straightforward, asking about my previous experience and how I would conduct myself in certain situations. I felt ill at ease when one of them asked me : "Here you would be working around a lot of young staff. How would you talk to Millenials?" Just how old did he think I was? I found this inappropriate and it smacked of ageism but I bit my tongue and answered the question politely. A little more than a week later, I received an email from the Store Manager telling me they "regret to inform me that The Shop at NBC Studios" will not be pursuing my candidacy.
