The interview process consisted of 1 recruiter call and 2 video interviews. I made it to through the entire process but the role was given to an internal candidate. The hiring manager conducted the first video interview and the second was both the hiring manager and an employee who held the same title I was applying for. The hiring manager was unprepared at both interviews. She didn’t have any formal questions to ask. She fumbled through my resume asking basic things and then asked me several times if I had any questions. The employee who joined her in the second interview was more prepared than the hiring manager was. The hiring manager followed up several days later asking for work samples. I sent them in and she said I would hear from her in a week. I didn’t. I followed up and she asked for another week. No contact. I followed up again and she asked for two more weeks. Still nothing. I followed up again and that is when I was informed they had gone with an internal candidate. Explains why she clearly didn’t take any of my interviews seriously. Doesn’t explain why she strung me along advancing me to the final round and pretending for a full month that i was still being considered for the role. Completely unprofessional.
