I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NFC Amenity Management (Houston, TX) in Oct 2015
Interview
Interviewed first with the Area Director and then with the Regional Director. It was mainly a conversation about previous history and where I might fit in. It was not too extensive of a process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly just a conversation about previous history.
The interview process was fairly easy initially. I met with the Regional Manager first and the job description was gone over in detail. I interviewed with her for a New property. She offered me the job so I put in my notice with the place I was employed at the time. She then had me meet with the Area Manager. Upon meeting this manager another location was forced upon me as they'd filled the original location prior to me even meeting with the Regional. As I'd already pretty much worked my full 2 weeks in the current job I felt there had been a bait and switch. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS COMPANY!! There are no good benefits, they do not pay out Vacation or Personal time when you decide to leave the company. There are no real perks, just smoke screens.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NFC Amenity Management (Denver, CO) in Sep 2017
Interview
The interview took place in a Cafe because they don't have an office or physical location. The interviewer promised and talked a lot about stuff that now I realize were not true. When I tried to claim what was promised to me based on my skills and abilities, my hours were cut, the asked me to mind my own business. I resigned a week after.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NFC Amenity Management (Washington, DC) in Apr 2017
Interview
The hiring personnel arrived late but their ice breaker excuse was definitely one for the books and an absolute shocker. “Oh the concierge didn’t know any better, usually they would just have you go up to the conference room instead of sitting around in the lobby like a bunch of homeless people.” My self and the other 5 candidates did not budge to laugh at the tasteless and tacky remark. Poor introduction and reflection of the company.
The group interview was rushed, and trivia like. Something that would be appropriate if you were a high school student needing to buildup rapport with your cohorts, I learned more about the candidates and their work life than I learned about the company and their values. The group interview instilled nothing in me that would make me feel confident about wanting to be hired at NFC.
During my individual interview I was told that the position I applied for, Concierge Director, was not only unavailable but that I did not have the experience required and was only invited because I have “some” concierge experience and customer service experience. In order to qualify for their Concierge Director position I would need a background working at said hotels such as Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Marriott. I was also given the cliché pitch “it’s best to just get your foot in the door and that there is much room to grow” but was told that they are only hiring within for the Concierge Director position. Very misleading and oxymoron if you are posting positions like the one aforementioned to the public. These “bait and switch” tactics used by companies are getting very old and do not fool true professionals. NFC is not looking for true talent but looking to fill the void of their high turnover rate.
**Major Red Flag**If you are a woman of color you will be told that you hair "should have been black" instead of other natural hair colors that are deemed work place appropriate for all people regardless of race/and or ethnicity.
Out of my 10 plus years of working and now being a 26 year old young professional I can honestly say that this interview was most awful to experience. I was extended an invitation to call back about positions that I did not want that will open up soon…I’ll pass. I will never recommend this company.
