I applied online. I interviewed at NFM Lending (Linthicum, MD)
Interview
Was emailed by a recruiter to set up an interview via phone with her. Phone interview went good. Was then emailed the next day to set up another phone interview with the supervisor for that department. The phone interview with the supervisor went good as well, was told that she was impressed and would like to set up a face to face interview. The face to face interview was set up by the recruiter. Was given an option between two days, picked one of those days and confirmed. Was called two days before the interview by the recruiter wanting to move the interview up a day. At the moment i knew they had already found a candidate and just wanted to move my interview up a day to get it over with, I agreed. The day of the interview got there early. Waited in the lobby area, the receptionist was on the phone having a personal conversation which was unprofessional. Few minutes later was greeted by the recruiter and supervisor. The interview was super quick, they didn't seem interested in me at all, which I was suprised because the phone interview went so well. They made me feel awkward and uncomfortable. Is like they had already found the person they wanted and was just ready to wrap up the interview. When the interview ended we all got up I felt so uneasy, I had to turn around to shake their hands because they just both walked behind me like they were ready for me to leave. Overall positive phone interview but negative face to face interview.

Question 1
Discuss a difficult situation you encountered at work and how you dealt with it?
Thank you for your feedback about your interview experience with us. We are glad to hear that your interviews were set up promptly and your phone interviews went well. However, we are apologetic that we had to reschedule your face-to-face interview, and we can reassure you that we recognize time is valuable and would never have a candidate come in for an interview if we already had a candidate accept an offer for that position. Nevertheless, we are sorry that the experience was uncomfortable. At NFM Lending we strive to show all our interview candidates the true culture of NFM Lending; the culture that we have earned reputable awards and have been recognized for year after year. We are saddened that you were not able to experience such, yet grateful you were willing to share so we can take actions to improve. We wish you the best of luck in your job search.
