PRocess took over 5 months. I was contacted by the recruiter in October 2018 after being applied online. He wanted to schedule phone interview with the hiring manager. I gave him the timeslot and he confirmed it. However, I never received the phone call. I sent him a note which was ignored. After a few days, I sent him a note describing un-professionalism and letting him know that my time was equally or more valuable than him and he should have been proactive in cancelling the call and letting me know that the hiring manager was busy. Or later replying to my email saying that the hiring manager was busy and reschedule the call. He did not do either of those. Later, he replied to my email and apologized saying he "thought" he replied but realized he hasn't. After that, he scheduled a call with hiring manager which was a short 15 mins call to ask a few questions. After that, the recruiter reached out again and said nothing will move until the first of the year. We decided to connect after the 2nd of Jan 2019. Fast forward, Jan 15th, he sent a note saying interview coordinator will be reaching out to schedule the interview. I had a second interview (panel face to face) with 3 people which went really well. Later that day, I was provided $150 gift card and discount employee store access (Very cool) asked to come for the lunch with the extended team members. I accepted and went for what I was thinking was the last round of the interview. I had a feeling that it was gone near perfect! Later I was told that the recruiter will be in touch for "next steps". I was excited about that thinking that they would not call "next steps" unless I was successful. However it's been 10 days, haven't heard from them. I sent a note to the recruiter asking for the update and still waiting to hear. There were extended delays in communications. I am very disappointed by the lack of professionalism and respect for professionals who are sincere and take time to invest in the interview process and spend not just hours but days and weeks in preparation. Leaving them hanging and in the dark shows complete disrespect and inefficiencies at the grass root level. Letting candidate know the results of the interview in a single line even if it is negative, shows basic respect.
