I had three rounds of interviews throughout the day. One with colleagues, one with art-directors/producers and one with the global head of creative and the head of production.
The first round was great and I got along well with my immediate colleagues.
The second round was the most difficult. Mostly it was managers try to see how far they could push you in questioning and made you second guess yourself. In this round I was asked by a senior art director (who I believe was in charge of keynote presentation design) "How many hours of sleep can you work off of?"
The third round comprised of the Executive Creative Director and two high level senior producers. They reviewed my work on the spot and told me I wasn't right for the job. The Executive Creative Director gave me some valuable feedback but I felt very unprepared as I was asked "Show me your best work." when he walked into the room.
Another great quote from a senior producer was, "We flew you out... for this?"
In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't get hired. I understand my work is not on par with elite work and high-level editors from the coasts (USA) but when I walked into the production space my fears were confirmed. It was disorganized and chaotic train-wreck. I'm sure they have a rhyme and reason and I probably don't know the entire workflow behind the production department—but it was bad.
The producer that brought me in was a gem. I wish I had gotten to work with them.
