      Loan Processor Interview

      Oct 19, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Fairfax, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NVR (Fairfax, VA) in Sep 2016

      Interview

Applied on website Got call from recruiter two days later asking if I was interested and he vetted me as well. He then sent me a personality quiz that takes about an hour to complete. Once I passed that I then filled out a detailed questionnaire about experiences and strengths and weaknesses. Then had a follow up pre-interview phone call with the recruiter so that I could be prepared for their specific style of interview questions. I also got an email with STAR approach prep stuff from the recruiter. I Interviewed with 3 people. Took 2 and half hours. Last person to interview me was a regional guy and I had to wait about 30 minutes for him to arrive. His approach was aggressive, very no nonsense. Felt like he was distracted and not really caring about interview, maybe that's a tactic they use or maybe he had already been prepped and wasn't expecting me to do well. Not a great approach if you ask me because who would want to work for someone like that if they were to get the job offer. I emailed the recruiter after the interview and again about a week after. Never got a response from the company or the recruiter

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Beltsville, MD
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at NVR (Beltsville, MD)

      Interview

The person who interview me was clear that did not want to be there and not only that but he started the call not even saying hello but criticizing my voicemail, what? Then he answer everything with yes/no, there was no “conversation”. He kept saying this is a very professional company but from his side he was arrogant, passive aggressive, boring, robot like, abrupt, rude, why was he even there? I was so excited to interview and he ruined it. Who hired that person, ridiculous.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

When I asked him to tell me about the company, he said “go and do research and tell me if this is something you like to do” who is he, to tell me, what I can or can’t do? I didn’t say anything exactly because I wanted to test him to what he would say and he was so arrogant and rude.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NVR in Dec 2023

      Interview

Came in from a staffing agency. Met with two on-site managers who were very friendly for an hour. I declined to proceed further after they told me there was toxicity and drama and all the processors were new. Major red flags. You have to be really metric oriented and competitive for this role and it wasn’t a good fit. Be prepared for an hour interview with two managers and then a second hour round immediately after.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What motivates you? Why do you want to work at NVR? Difficult situation with a coworker? Time you had to deliver bad news and how did you handle it?
