      Loan Processor Interview

      Dec 11, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Charlotte, NC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at NVR (Charlotte, NC) in Nov 2016

      Interview

I applied online for the position and was contacted by a 3rd party recruiter with RPO Search that was handling the hiring process. Went through phone interview and 2 hour+ application and personality test. Results came back and feedback was positive and was told by recruiter that NVR was interested in a face to face. I was then told to do another aptitude test that took another hour and half before final ok to do face to face interview. Also told I was a good candidate for the position, but that he had submitted 5 previous applicants for face to face interview, and that all of them had been rejected after their face to face. BIG RED FLAGS THERE, but was interested in the position, so proceeded forward. Interview was set up, and met with 2 branch managers and 1 loan processor manager. Good conversations, easy interview questions, friendly and personable. Ended the interview well and was told I would hear within a week or 2 on final decision. Was sent an impersonal standard email rejection 2 days later with no feedback. Called recruiter and he wouldn't answer phone or email. Emailed managers I interviewed with as well just to get interview feedback, and they would not respond. Unfortunate that after putting in the work and being a qualified candidate that I would get rejected without so much as a couple of notes that may help me on my job search, but says more about professionalism of organizations than anything. Hope and a prayer if you get a shot at employment with this company.

      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at NVR (Beltsville, MD)

      Interview

The person who interview me was clear that did not want to be there and not only that but he started the call not even saying hello but criticizing my voicemail, what? Then he answer everything with yes/no, there was no “conversation”. He kept saying this is a very professional company but from his side he was arrogant, passive aggressive, boring, robot like, abrupt, rude, why was he even there? I was so excited to interview and he ruined it. Who hired that person, ridiculous.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

When I asked him to tell me about the company, he said “go and do research and tell me if this is something you like to do” who is he, to tell me, what I can or can’t do? I didn’t say anything exactly because I wanted to test him to what he would say and he was so arrogant and rude.

      Declined offer

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NVR in Dec 2023

      Interview

Came in from a staffing agency. Met with two on-site managers who were very friendly for an hour. I declined to proceed further after they told me there was toxicity and drama and all the processors were new. Major red flags. You have to be really metric oriented and competitive for this role and it wasn’t a good fit. Be prepared for an hour interview with two managers and then a second hour round immediately after.
