Applied through a job portal. Was given a test to solve at home. Did not get any response for weeks. So I had to mail them about the update on same. I was told that hiring is frozen due to covid19 situation. Understandable.
Later that week I saw "WE ARE HIRING" post by company's HRs on LinkedIn. I had not received any response nor any update regarding my application.
So I mailed them again just to have it thrown to my face that my profile doesn't meet their requirements.
If that was the case why did you ask me to give the test in first place?
This was straight unprofessional!
Overall, my interview went well. I felt prepared going in, which helped me stay calm and focused. The interviewer asked a good mix of technical and behavioral questions. Some technical questions were challenging, but I managed to work through them logically. I appreciated that the interviewer gave me time to think before answering.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nakisa (Montreal, QC) in Apr 2024
