What a bizarre, unprofessional process. I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. I set up a phone screen for a few days later. In between those few days, I received an unexpected cold call from a different recruiter. I didn’t answer because I thought it was spam. The scheduled phone screen was awkward and the recruiter was rude (I could hear him sigh at my questions and it was clear he forgot my name). Most of his responses to my questions were “I don’t know” followed by silence. I then had to prompt him to ask me questions. It felt like I was interviewing the recruiter, not the other way around…At the end he recommended I move forward in the process and sent an email introducing me to the next interviewer. I responded to the email with my availability and that’s the last I heard. Ghosted. Also, they never shared a job description with me and all of the recruiter’s written correspondence had typos. I half thought I was being scammed.
