Employers keep the interviewees"warm," leaving them in limbo while making their final decision. This is a frustrating experience for candidates as they wonder whether they should continue to hold out hope or move on to other opportunities. In some cases, candidates may even reject other job offers while waiting to hear back from their top choice, only to be left with nothing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Ask for my background and fundamental questions, no technical questions related to the job. Should have taken that as a red flag
I was contacted first by the recruiter and later had an interview with the manager. Both were very responsive and answered any questions I had. Both were knowledgeable about the department.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Natera (Austin, TX) in Aug 2024
Interview
Five minutes I applied, a recruiter asked me to fill out a questionnaire about my skills and experience and whether or not I was willing to accept a salary of $20.50-$22. After submitting, recruiter emailed me again to schedule an interview with the team. The interview was with two people a supervisor and manager (i think). They did not ask any technical questions. A lot of behavioral questions, what I want to see in a supervisor, and my career goals and why I want to work there. They emphasized that the work is like working in a factory and it’s always busy.

I had my interview over the phone. It lasted briefly for about 15 minutes. Afterwards they had me set up a date for a second interview over zoom. The initial interview felt more like a screening process for initial applicants rather than a traditional interview.
