Communication is very good until they decide that you are not important, then it is radio silence. I had multiple rounds of interviews. The first person I interviewed with was a little aggressive. Did not answer my question about what could be improved on the team. Told me they micromanage because "some peoples hands need to be held" and that they ask questions during meetings to make sure people are paying attention. Insisted on me relocating although my commute would have been 40 minutes. Did not expect an in-person interview, as the first interviewer seemed like they did not like me at all. The team was nice was all fairly new which was a red flag given how long ago the team had been established. Director was also a bit aggressive. They kept almost demanding to know why I wanted that job and why they should give it to me over someone else with more experience. It was not difficult in terms of questions but difficult in terms of talking with people who seem difficult to work with. Also only one set of interviewers left me enough time to ask questions. Most of them only left me 2-4 minutes to ask them questions, which also felt a bit like a red flag. The interview is a two way process and it felt like they think that it should only be one way.
