Interview
I applied via FlexJobs. A few weeks later I was contacted and asked to do a one-way video interview. It was a little awkward, and there were a couple of somewhat tricky questions, but nothing too bad. A week or so later I received an email telling me I had made it to the second round and would need to complete an online assessment. I was asked to complete it in three days, but told I could request an extension if needed. I was out of town at the time (it was around Memorial Day), so I asked if I could have three extra days. I never received a response to that email, but completed it when I got home. The assessment was quite time-consuming (it took me 4+ hours to complete and involved editing, writing a 2-3 page concept paper, creating graphs, analyzing data, etc.). I was notified a few days later saying they were moving on with other candidates. I found their process to be cold and insulting.
