They had me interview with an internal candidate. It was so bizarre and off putting. I had to listen to them talk about people they both knew. Meanwhile, I have a great number of years in higher education that they weren’t very interested in. Honestly, I’m not sure the favored candidate could have felt good about the experience either. Is the idea that you are supposed to compete with your colleagues?
