Two weeks after I applied via the web form I got an invite to a Skype interview with an engineering manager and the head of the new data infrastructure team. The interview was very nice and we talked about the role and the challenges for this new position. I got immediate feedback two hours after the interview, followed by an invitation to the office for the next week. The on site interview was divided into two parts, the first part was with a senior recruiting specialist together with the director of the engineering department, and the second part was with two engineers. I assume the first part was to test my fit with the company, e.g. we talked a lot about the agile structure, my experience in teams, and what good quality standards are. The second part of the interview was more about the technical challenges of the role, especially the infrastructure and dataflow design. The engineering manager guided me to the different rooms and we had some nice talk after the two interview sessions. Overall I evaluate my interview experience with NI extraordinary positive. All people that I met there were really nice and created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I got the impression that everyone read my résumé and they tried not to repeat the questions from the previous interviews.
