I had an initial screening with a recruiter who didn't know much about the company or the role. The person who interviewed me afterwards told me straight away that there were a lot of candidates, and seemed to imply that I wasn't seriously being considered. They went through some standard questions but did not seem to be engaged with the conversation. I didn't hear from them at all once the call ended.
