Interview Reflection – Navarro Regional Hospital I had such a special experience interviewing at Navarro Regional today. I originally went in thinking it would be a conversation about a position in the ICU, but as the interview went on, the manager could tell where my heart really was in women’s health. In the middle of our conversation, she did something that truly meant a lot. She picked up the phone and called the OB Director right then and there to help me get connected. That one moment said a lot about the kind of people working at Navarro. When I met with the OB Manager, she made me feel so welcomed and at ease. She was warm, down to earth, and honestly felt like the kind of leader you'd want to grow under. Watching her manage so much with such grace while staying connected to her staff was inspiring. She really believes in giving new grads a chance and supporting them through the learning process, and that’s something I deeply value. What really excited me was learning how the OB nurses at Navarro are trained to do it all. Postpartum, labor and delivery, nursery, recovery, and even catching babies. There’s so much opportunity there to grow into a well-rounded perinatal nurse, and I could see myself learning so much in that environment. I walked out of the hospital feeling hopeful, grateful, and excited. I’d love the chance to be a part of that team, not just to work, but to grow, learn, and eventually pour back into others the way they do.
