Recruiter contacted me and set-up an interview without discussing salary expectations. First interview went well and I had a second interview with the higher level supervisor. Second interview went well until the end when they asked my salary expectation. I said what I put on my application and they negatively ended the interview due to it not meeting the role's budget range. This was a waste of my time as well as the two interviewers. Recruiters should be discussing salary upfront or at least looking at what the candidate put in their application to make sure it is appropriate to move them forward to interview.
