I applied online. I interviewed at NetApp (San Jose, CA) in Jul 2020
Interview
Applied through LinkedIn and got a call from the internal recruiter a few weeks later. Pretty standard stuff. Said my resume and his recommendation would be sent through to the hiring manager, then radio silence. Not even a standard email.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NetApp in Mar 2010
Interview
Started with a phone screening with the company recruiter, who provided a good explanation of the hiring need and ample opportunity to ask questions. Later met the recruiter and an HR rep in person at their HQ site. While the meeting with the recruiter felt more like I was being sold on the job, the meeting with HR was less solicitous. I felt as though I wasn't being taken seriously. Most likely my impressions were accurate, because I haven't heard a peep from them since! The office was new and gorgeous. Seemed as though many employees work in cubes and they provide meeting space for private meetings.

Question 1
I don't recall any interviewing questions to be difficult or unexpected. The whole process seemed more perfunctory than anything.
