There were 2 interviews, The first was a 1 hour call with 2 engineers where we discussed cybersecurity-related questions such as. what is DMARC, how does TCP work, etc. Maybe a week and a half later, I then attended an in-person interview again with 2 engineers (different from the first set). Here, we talked about what Netcraft does and how I would go about solving things (think using regexes to identify malicious URLs). Overall, the team was great and the interview applied to what they actually do. The hiring team was amazing too.

I applied online. I interviewed at Netcraft (London, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
All round friendly and nice. Asked very cybersecurity related questions, xss, sqli, how to prevent these, spotting vulnerabilities etc. Also many questions on how to spot phishing sites and fake websites
Just really in depth networking and cyber questions, very difficult if you havent done it before. Friendly interviewers, really pushed your problem solving skills. Generally a very hard interview compared to others.

first stage was resume + project screen. then, a virtual interview with two people going through my resume and applying it to cybersecurity concepts. lastly, an onsite interview with two people, going through some of netcraft's software with a series of back-and-forths on how i'd navigate as a threat actor and how i'd deal with that as netcraft.
