Netcraft interview questions

Applied online - Application asks for a sample of code you have written and a written document you have produced (e.g. an essay you did as part of uni coursework). 1st interview (online) - Discussed CV & projects with 2 interviewers, then some technical questions about DNS, HTTPS, TCP/IP and the design and securing of a web application. 2nd interview (in person) - Back-and-forth with 2 interviewers, who showed me Netcraft's product and asked me some questions about phishing, both from the perspectives of a phisher and someone trying to detect or prevent the phishing. Also required knowledge of regular expressions. Overall: fairly straightforward and pleasant experience. Almost all of the content they ask about is covered in A-level CS or the first year of a CS degree. Even if you don't know the topics, one weekend of preparation will get you there. Might throw you off if you overfit preparation for LeetCode style interviews since you are not asked to write code during the interview. In general, I think breadth of knowledge of various computer science and cyber security topics is helpful. Interviewers were very polite and personable which I appreciated especially in the in-person interview.

Just really in depth networking and cyber questions, very difficult if you havent done it before. Friendly interviewers, really pushed your problem solving skills. Generally a very hard interview compared to others.
