Suffice it to say but this was one of the most unprofessional interviews I’ve ever experienced as a sales exec.
I went through about 15-17 interviews (yes, you read that correctly!), told everyone loves me including the CEO, then given an over the phone offer of a (rather low) base plus commissions. Flash forward exactly one week later, and I’m told sorry, new offer: “our offer is ZERO base but we are willing to pay you commissions on anything you sell”!! What the heck?
So basically these guys after a 4-5 month interview process and as a senior sales exec with a ton of experience, change the entire deal overnight. Who in their right mind would want to work with these guys?? Then I find out that they recently hired and then terminated 2 other sales guys in the same region within the year and that sales for this region are beyond anemic. Not too tough to figure out why.
To make matters worse, no one in HR or any of the senior leadership team members ever came back to me to give me any real explanation as to how the comp package changed so dramatically. Then to top it all off, it took them over 2 months to reimburse my expenses and with me having to hound them weekly about when can I expect a check. Again, totally unprofessional.
If you’re considering a sales position at Neudesic, I would think twice because it’s obvious they’re not serious or respectful of senior level hires, nor are they willing to pay people anywhere near what they’re worth.
Suffice it to say, I took a pass on the so called “offer”!! Next!
