Contacted by a recruiter originally. Sounded like a good company, they really sold the fact that it's a Microsoft-only studio and using the latest technologies. They set up an interview with about 3 of their employees, ranging from a junior developer, to a senior guy, to an actual manager. The only one that I felt had a thorough, relevant interview process was the manager. The junior dev was just spouting off random CS type questions that he had probably Googled 5 minutes before the interview. The senior dev was a little more difficult, he had some questions about binary search trees, hashes, and other data structures. He had a thick accent and was difficult to understand, which made it more frustrating. Once you started answering what you THOUGHT was the question (on the whiteboard), he'd stop you and erase your work, and try and clarify it. The manager was very professional, though, and held a good interview. Some whiteboard psuedo-code, but mainly asking about past experience. That was where the professionalism ENDED. The manager said they'd get back to me "either way" within 2 weeks because they needed to fill positions. He left me feeling confident about the interview. Then apparently their HR department lost my contact info because there was NOTHING after that. Not a phone call, no email, nothing.
