Started great. I was transparent with my skills and experience, recruiter knew I did not have direct developer experience but was advised it was not a deal breaker. Had a 45 min interview with another Delivery Manager, seemed to go well (or I thought). I specifically asked about not having developer experience, she said it was a non-issue and there are others who don’t necessary have that experience. I get an email later the same day saying I’m not moving forward since I have no IT/developer experience and they are automatically canceling my other interview (that was scheduled) for another position. Interesting that another Delivery Manager who’s been with the company only for a year is the final decision maker on candidates vs higher level. The miscommunication was unfortunate.
