I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at New Relic (Portland, OR) in Jun 2020
Interview
Fairly normal process overall. Meeting with members of the team, meeting with management, doing technical challenges, and a session dedicated for me to just ask questions.
The technical challenges were interesting and little off the beaten path, at least for me, but I enjoyed doing them, which is a fairly rare sentiment I have when interviewing.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Technical Challenges:
1. Design a simple RESTful API using a language I was familiar with.
2. Design a simple RESTful API (identical to 1) using a language I had no experience with.
3. Review an existing repository of code, describing what the application is doing and any important information about how it is set up.
The interview process includes application screening, recruiter call, technical or role-specific assessment, panel interviews, culture-fit discussion, reference checks, and final offer, ensuring candidates are evaluated fairly and thoroughly before hiring.
