      Financial Advisor Interview

      May 22, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Hyannis, MA
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at New York Life (Hyannis, MA) in Apr 2012

      Interview

They tell you that you need to go through 4 interviews and on the last interview, if they want to hire you, they will offer you the job. The first interview consisted of the recruiter trying to sell me the company, which I thought was strange. It almost seemed like I was the one giving her an interview about New York Life. That was red flag #1. The fact that they were so desperate to get employees was very strange to me; in an economy that has many people struggling for jobs, why was this person almost begging me to become interested in this one?

      Interview

Don't waste time with this company. This gave me a wrong interview time, I showed up but no one is there, I can't reached out to anyone. IT WASTE MY WHOLE DAY! After almost 5 hrs of the scheduled meeting time, someone finally replied me with only one sentence, they never scheduled me for that time, I provided them with evidences about the meeting time, they just made up a meeting time no one ever told me. Very unprofessional.
