The entire interview process was a series of 3 different in-person interviews. The first interview was with the recruiter that I had met in person at a career fair the week prior. This interview consisted primarily of a thorough explanation of the company, the role as an insurance agent and a personality/skill assessment in house, as well as the next interview steps. The second and third interviews were with the office's managing partner, and more information was given about the company, role, required licensing and training schedule, pay, advancement opportunities, etc. as well as questions about why I chose the company and why I would be a good fit for that role. In the interim of the second and third interview, the managing partner provided a binder of continued information to get prepared for the position. During the third interview with the managing partner, I was offered the position as agent and accepted. Following the offer, I began studying for my Life, Accident & Health Producer License in order to begin at New York Life. Studying typically takes 2-4 weeks depending on the individual, and the position begins once you have obtained that license and have been approved by the company.
