First, a phone interview with the General Manager. And later, was invited for a face to face interview with him and his team. They are friendly and down to earth. A week later, had another phone interview with the management in the US HQ. I passed all interviews and the final stage was a reference check with previous employment. All went well including the reference check.
I am just surprised that during the entire interview process, I was never asked on my last drawn salary and expected salary. The only thing revealed during the process was the commission rates. Finally, I was offered the position with a basic salary package in US$ (less than 50% of my last drawn salary) which will be paid out in € every month based on the fluctuating exchange rate. No extras will be paid on pension, insurance, transportation and etc. A very unconventional employment contract and they offer no flexibility of 4-day work week even though I offered to work 40 hours in 4 days. Plus, the parking facility next to the office is only offered to top sales achievers ~ a very uncommon practice! So, I rejected their offer.
