Interview
Newell came to my school's career fair where I was set up for an in person interview. A couple weeks later I was interviewed by two different guys from Newell. Both were engineers since it was for an R&D position. Both of the 30 min sessions started off with the typical behavioral type questions. Neither interviewer seemed particularly keen on these questions. It was obvious that these were pushed by HR. That's not to say that they pushed these questions aside and that they weren't important but they both were very up front about "here are some basic questions that we have to do first and then we can get into anything you want to talk about after".
Both men were very easy going and easy to relate to. They took plenty of time to answer my questions and even tried to apply their responses to me individually and how their program potentially would fit my goals.
Very positive experience.

On-campus interview. 2 Interviewers, 30 minutes each. Both interviewers were friendly and easy to talk to. Although they mentioned I may have to come on-site for a second round, I was called and given an offer in a few weeks.
