The interview process moved fairly quickly at first. I applied and exactly one week later a recruiter reached out to schedule a phone interview a few days later. The phone call went well and she got quick feedback the same day from the hiring manager to move me forward. We scheduled an interview with the hiring manager and a team member for exactly one week later and all went well. I followed up with the recruiter letting her know how it went and sent thank you emails to the team members I met. The recruiter contacted me the next day with great feedback from the hiring manager and wanted to move me forward to meet with the director (final interview). We scheduled that interview for exactly one week later. The interview with the director went great and I followed up with the recruiter to let her know as well as sent a thank you note to the director. The recruiter informed me that they should have an update for me early the following week. Wednesday rolled around (1 week post final interview) and the recruiter happily contacted me letting me know the director had very strong feedback regarding my interview and that they were finishing up some other interviews and would likely have a decision made within the week. The next Wednesday rolls around and I’ve heard nothing from the recruiter. I followed up asking about the status of the position and if there was any additional information I could provide the team and I received no response. I was ghosted. A few days after sending my follow up email, I checked their career site and found the position to be filled. Still, no one has reached out to me to close the loop.
