The recruiter and I had a discussion about the position, working at News Corp and some background about the department. Pretty basic. Super positive and friendly.
I then interviewed with the hiring manager. Wasn't impressed by the attitude. I bet she's a micro-manager. I believe she said she has been with the company for over 10 years. Depending on the company, can be a good or bad thing. In this case, it was bad. The interview was short. Which lead me to believe I had wasted my time. I showed enthusiasm and called for updates. Basically I was told "Don't call us we'll call you...." Months later, they called "Are you still available?" "No I'm not" I responded. "Oh, you didn't tell us...."
One of the strangest experiences ever. Huge waste of time. And happy I didn't get a job there.
