      Technical Consultant Interview

      Nov 23, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NewsCred in Sep 2017

      Interview

A NewsCred recruiter reached out directly and quickly set-up a call with the hiring manager. What followed was 5 in person interviews with various team members, all of which were very positive. I got the impression interviewing was mostly for fit, which is a good thing in my eyes. Following that I was told I'd have a final interview with the COO, which was also very positive. So, up until this point, the process had been smooth and efficient. Then, as other applicants have said, radio silence. It was just odd more than anything; I chased twice, 1 week after, and then 1 week after that, but was told they were still making a decision. If the decision had been a no, I would've still been positive about the experience, but it cannot be acceptable just to say nothing, particularly when the rest of the process was so efficient and quick. If you interview here make sure you don't wait for a response if you're also interviewing elsewhere, you may never hear!

      Interview

Call with VP in New York (~45m) Face to face with Snr. Director in London and other team members. This was more technical than the initial call, and also seemed 'team-fit' focused. (~2.5h)
