NewsCred interview questions

I received a request for interview, twice confirmed the date & time to meet with senior management & 20 minutes before my initial conversation, was sent a canned rejection email. I literally confirmed this meeting the night before.

2 phone interviews, a face-to-face interview + editing task + 30 min presentation (combined for me), then a chat with the CEO or similar in the US if successful. I found all of the staff to be engaging and I really liked their system. However, the presentation brief was confusing - they ask you to prepare a "content strategy", but then talk about putting together a "content campaign". The reason they gave me for not selecting me was that they were looking for someone with "more varied/less campaign-driven experience" - which confused me because I personally have very little campaign experience and they had specifically asked me to pitch a content campaign. While I thought that the interview process was net positive, I would suggest that they rethink the presentation. A 20-min presentation with 10 mins of questions took me about 10 hours to prepare on top of working full time, which was a huge effort on my part (ultimately for no gain). For interviews at other companies the presentation element was 10-15 mins, which I think is more reasonable.
