I emailed back and forth with someone at the company, and finally received an interview for the internship position. After interviewing with her, I heard back two days later that I had received the position. Process was smooth and easy!

Phone screen with HR TA Specialist, she kept pestering me for my expectations for compensation rate, when I didn't provide a number, she continued pestering saying, "But if you had to give me a number, what would that be?" Gave a number and she said she would get back to me soon. Received a response weeks later saying they wouldn't be moving forward. Well maybe if your recruiter lady hadn't pestered me for a number, I wouldn't have offered a number out of your range expectations for this role. Such an unprofessional way to conduct an interview. Wouldn't recommend.
