My first interview went poorly enough that I did not pursue further interviews. A recruiter from Nexient send me a LinkedIn message with a salary range that caught my eye: "$100-140K". First, he missed our interview time and pushed it out by an hour: a slight inconvenience, but one I can understand. Unfortunately, this was also an omen. On the phone he asked about my salary expectations. When I mentioned this range in the message, the ENTIRE remainder of the call switched to him justifying that it was a "mistake" and the range is more likely "$75-95K". Whether this was a genuine mistake, I cannot say, but I cannot recommend trusting any number they may throw at you to get your attention.
