Thank you for your feedback! The coding assessment or work sample review is the first official step to our interview process. We ask candidates to complete the coding assessment or provide work samples so we can better understand what level you are as an engineer. Once you pass this phase, your face to face interview is scheduled. Although our goal is to have your code reviewer be the same one to interview you face to face, it is not always guaranteed (this is mainly due to conflicting schedules when trying to coordinate an interview that best suits the candidate's availability). In the event that your initial code reviewer cannot meet you face to face, we will schedule you to meet with another engineer who is able to technically screen you through other manners such as a white boarding problem, and by asking other questions that will allow us to assess your out of the box thinking/problem solving skills.
