I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at NextEra Energy, Inc. (Juno Beach, FL) in Oct 2016
Interview
They really take their time. Applied in July 1st 2016 and on Aug 16th I took the HireVue on demand interview which is a few questions (probably 5 or 6). 3 of which were multiple choice and two or three where I had to record a video. The questions were straight forward, what's your view of integrity? Why you wanna work for us? What related experience of projects you have? Why should we hire you? Where you see yourself in 5 years?
Passed that interview and went to the next step which is the phone interview which was on Oct 22nd as I said they take their time. So it's been almost 4 months and I still have to do a last in person interview. As for the phone interview, the first question was what you know about the job? I recommend searching the job and not depending on the job description only. Then they ask "Tell us about yourself". I read here "in glassdoor" a very good answer which is you need to tell them what makes you a good fit not your whole story. Then they ask about how important to you to communicate with your coworkers. Then asked about some software related to the job like excel. Again the most important question "safety".

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at NextEra Energy, Inc. (Pensacola, FL) in Nov 2025
Interview
Had a great experience throughout the interviewing process. Started off with an in-person interview with some local engineers and progressed to a set of online interviews. Would rather have had the opportunity for more in-person experiences, but everyone that I talked to was very pleasant.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at NextEra Energy, Inc. (Miami, FL) in Apr 2022
Interview
I was applying for the basic starting position that NextEra offers through Florida Power & Light. I met their rep at my college's career fair and was asked to do in person interview with another rep the next day. Very casual and welcoming experience. I think this is how they weed out a basic few. It was a few weeks before I heard anything but I was eventually asked to interview during their big long day of interviews with two different sets of managing principles that was a bit more intense with very creative and thorough questions. A few weeks after that I was offered a position with a personal phone call from a very friendly HR rep. Overall decent experience from a company that's hiring 40+ new grads at a time. I ultimately did not go with this job but it was for other reasons.
