I applied online for an office job in Florida and got a call back over one month later offering to schedule an interview two weeks later. I should have known they weren't serious about hiring. Two months after my application I finally had an interview. The manager didn't waste much time letting me know that "we really need someone with plant experience for this job." Even though this wasn't mentioned at all in the job posting... He followed up with "but I can help you get that experience if you are willing to move to Iowa and work in our plant there" and accept a lower-level position with a much lower salary. So basically this was a BAIT AND SWITCH interview call attempting to get me to apply for a job that almost no one outside Iowa would be interested in taking. To me this is predatory behavior. Where's the respect for your fellow man and the profession? I lost all respect for this company after this interaction.
